Efficient Wood Gasification: Clean and Durable
The wood gasification principle ensures almost complete combustion of the fuel. The spacious combustion chamber on the left side of the boiler allows logs up to 500 mm in length to be loaded. The burn time of a single wood charge is at least 4 hours at full output and can be extended to over a whole day at lower load. Log wood should have a maximum moisture content of 20% to achieve optimal results.
The two-stage wood gasification process reduces emissions and maximizes the energy utilization of the fuel. This protects the environment and significantly reduces fuel consumption.
Advanced Pellet Combustion
Pellet combustion takes place in the separate right-hand section of the boiler. An integrated storage hopper enables practical and space-saving pellet storage (80 liters for 25 kW, 148 liters for 35/45 kW). Automatic pellet feeding from an external storage facility via a suction or conveyor system is also possible.
Wood pellets are an environmentally friendly fuel made from natural wood shavings. They are subject to strict quality standards (DINplus or ENplus A1) and thus ensure efficient and clean combustion.
Automatic Switch Between Wood and Pellets
The PID Logic Kombi can switch automatically between fuel types. When the loaded log wood is used up, the pellet burner seamlessly takes over heating operation. However, this automatic switch only occurs from wood to pellet combustion. This ensures an uninterrupted heat supply at all times without the need for manual intervention.
Comfortable control and easy handling
The integrated control with color touchscreen offers the highest level of operating comfort and controls all functions of the boiler. The lambda sensor continuously measures the oxygen content of the flue gases and regulates the primary and secondary air supply to ensure optimal combustion with both wood and pellets.
Additional features such as a flue gas temperature sensor and automatic grate cleaning increase efficiency and operating comfort. The large loading door of the combustion chamber makes it easier to reload wood, while simple cleaning through the lower door minimizes maintenance effort.
Reliability and safety functions
The PID Logic Kombi is equipped with several safety precautions. A built-in safety temperature limiter (STB) immediately shuts down the boiler at a temperature of 95°C, while a safety heat exchanger effectively cools the combustion chamber using fresh water flushing. In addition, a thermal drain safety device ensures maximum operational safety.
Even in the event of a power failure, important safety mechanisms remain active, ensuring the boiler operates reliably in every situation.
Economical and environmentally friendly
An efficiency of over 93% and the ability to efficiently use log wood and pellets make the PID Logic Kombi one of the most economical heating solutions on the market. The pyrolytic combustion of wood saves more than 85% fuel compared to conventional wood heating boilers.
Thanks to extremely low emissions, the PID Logic Kombi meets the highest boiler class 5 according to EN 303-5:2012 and the requirements of BImSchV Stage 2. This means it is not only economical but also ecologically harmless.
Flexible expansion options
The PID Logic Kombi can be expanded with various optional modules. These include, for example, a GSM alarm module as well as control modules for up to eight heating circuits, which can be regulated according to outdoor or room temperature. The pellet supply can also be optimally adapted using a mole suction system, a screw conveyor, or a large storage container.
Technical details and connection options
The boiler is available in output sizes of 25, 35, and 45 kW and features standardized connections for flow, return, and drainage. The diameter of the flue gas outlet varies between 150 mm and 180 mm depending on the output. All components are manufactured and tested to the highest quality standards, including TÜV and CE certification.
