Product Overview & Application Area
The Elektromet WGJ-B PSTW 250 is a standing buffer tank with a storage volume of 262 liters for heating water and other heat transfer media suitable for steel. It is used to absorb, temporarily store, and transfer heat in heating systems with different heat generators.
Technology & Equipment
The tank is designed as a buffer tank without a heat exchanger. The container is made of sheet steel, raw on the inside and coated with anti-corrosion paint on the outside. Depending on the version, it is equipped with permanently attached thermal insulation made of polystyrene foam or rubber mat. The PSTW 250 variant is rated with energy efficiency class B in both insulation variants.
Everyday Benefits
The buffer tank supports more uniform system operation when heat generation and heat consumption occur at different times. With a content of 262 liters, this variant offers a larger buffer capacity than the smaller versions of the series and, with a diameter of 650 mm, remains easy to integrate into typical utility rooms.
System Integration & Compatibility
The WGJ-B PSTW 250 can be used in heating systems with boilers, solar thermal systems, or heat pumps. The variant features side heating connections, an upper KP1 connection, multiple sensor positions, a drain or flushing connection, and two heating element positions for approved electric heating elements.

Installation
The tank is placed upright on a load-bearing, level surface. Hydraulic connection, safety group, venting, and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified professional. When using an electric heating element, the tank must be completely filled and vented before switching on the electricity.
Notes
Operation is carried out with a safety valve with a maximum response pressure of 3 bar. No shut-off valve may be installed between the safety valve and the tank. The tank is intended for heating water or suitable heat transfer media and is not designed for direct domestic hot water preparation.
Scope of Delivery
- Elektromet WGJ-B PSTW 250 buffer tank with permanently attached thermal insulation and outer jacket
