The ATMOS pellet boilers of the P series with emergency wood operation (ATMOS P series – formerly D..P series) are available in the versions ATMOS P20, ATMOS P30, ATMOS P40 and ATMOS P50. These boilers stand out as automatic, compact, low-maintenance and user-friendly pellet heating systems. The nominal heat output ranges from 22 – 45 kW depending on the pellet boiler, for 6-8 mm wood pellets. This means that the pellet boilers in this ATMOS pellet boiler series cover the heat demand of single-family homes and multi-family homes. In order to still ensure heat generation in the event of a fault in pellet operation, these pellet boilers also offer the option of temporarily switching to emergency wood operation. The P20 (formerly D20P) is equipped with the ATMOS pellet burner A25, and the P30, P40 and P50 with the ATMOS pellet burner A45. Depending on local conditions, the burners can be mounted on the left or right side of the pellet boiler. This offers the advantage that the pellet boiler can be cleaned quickly and easily regardless of its position in the boiler room. As with our other pellet boiler series, the pellets are fed to the ATMOS P boiler by means of a screw conveyor from a separate ATMOS silo, fabric storage or an on-site storage room. Depending on the application, we offer screw conveyors in lengths between 1.5 m and 5.0 m. Since reliability is a top priority for ATMOS in its pellet boilers, the screw conveyors in the P series with emergency wood operation are also only designed as a straight-run system! In the single-family home sector, the ATMOS P20 has proven particularly successful, as it has an additional induced draft fan which is helpful for smoke-free operation in emergency wood operation if the existing chimney has insufficient draft. This also applies to the P30, P40 and P50 pellet boilers. All boilers in this series are eligible for BAFA funding. This means that up to 45% of the total costs for installing this heating system are subsidized.
Expansion options for the ATMOS pellet boilers with emergency wood operation
Optionally, the pellet boiler can be retrofitted with automatic ash removal for increased comfort, which conveys the ash residue into a collection box located in front of the boiler. Another option is the retrofittable compressed air blowing system (suitable for the ATMOS A25 and A45 pellet burners), which is highly recommended especially when using low-cost pellets.
